The gang of Cars is back in the action-packed racing game Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales for Wii. Read the review here!
Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales for Will reunites fans with Mater, Lightning McQueen and the rest of the cars for a game full of racing and fun challenges. As usual, Mater is full of stories, and it doesn’t really matter if they are true or not. All of the levels in the game are based on Disney/Pixar’s popular TV show, Mater’s Tall Tales.
Epic Racing
In Story Mode, fans play solo as they follow Mater through one of his epic tales. Each tale involves a series of levels that revolve around a particular story. For example, the first level “Rescue Squad Mater” tells the story of the night Mater became a fire truck. Players need to make their way through a race, help put out fires, catch falling objects from windows and carry items out of burning buildings.
Based on the performance each level, players will be awarded with coins. These coins can then be used to upgrade the player’s vehicle. The more challenges the player completes, the better their car becomes. With more than 30 mini games, there are ample opportunities to upgrade.
Zoom Zoom
Mater’s Tall Tales stays true to the characters’ personalities. The games are simple but the controls make them challenging enough. Each mini game involves different game controls, so it is difficult for the player to get bored. It is a great game to get the whole family zooming all night, as it allows for up to four players.
