The King
Joe "The King" Kingman (The Rock) is a superstar quarterback for the Boston Rebels - a fictional pro football team. He drives a flashy sports car and all the ladies love him. The combination of money and fame puts Joe's ego into the Kanye West category. Joe is quick to remind everyone that he's number one in everything.New Teammate
Joe's superficial life comes to a halt, when an 8 year-old little girl named Peyton (Madison Pettis) shows up at his doorstep unexpectedly. Turns out the little girl is his daughter - a daughter he never knew he had. Now the tough and masculine Joe has to participate in things that are foreign to him like taking Peyton to ballet lessons and reading bedtime stories. Joe figures out that it's not easy being a single dad and a major football star. Can the addition of Peyton in his life change Joe for the better? Will he be able to let go of the excitement of his past life?DVD Features
The Game Plan DVD comes with all the standard features like bloopers and deleted scenes, but it also has some unique ones like Peyton's Makeover Madness, ESPN's SportsCenter: The Rock Learns to Play QB and The King in Search of a Ring! The Bottom Line
Although The Rock has some cute and genuine moments with his daughter in the movie, The Game Plan fails to score any points on originality. We've seen the storyline before with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Vin Diesel - a big macho guy gets in touch with his softer side when he's around kids. The plot is predictable and the movie drags on a lot. Unless you're a huge Rock fan, we recommend that you save your money. The Game Plan Rating:
