June is going to be a big month for gaming, but that's always true with E3 kicking off the summer, however this year we're also going to be finally getting our hands on that Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy.
Crash Bandicoot Returns
During PlayStation's E3 2016 conference we got our first look at the Crash Bandicoot remaster. We didn't get a release date at the time but Crash was included in Skylanders Imaginators to satiate the Crash-lovers in 2016. But on Valentine's Day 2017 we got our first hint at a release date for the remaster through the game's official Twitter and Facebook accounts. An image was put out telling gamers to return on February 15th to get some more Crash-related news, that news on the 15th turned out to be a short new trailer that showed off the release date!
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Release Date Trailer
June 30th, 2017 will see the release of the remaster. We also got the excellent news that the game will be a little on the cheaper side at $40, as opposed to the standard $60 price tag. We've obviously gotten confirmation that the game will be releasing on PlayStation 4 but some people are speculating that the game could come to Xbox One as well. The original trilogy may have been released on PlayStation exclusively but Activision owns the game and have yet to confirm, or deny, if the game will come to Microsoft's console.
Microsoft and Bethesda's E3 Conferences
E3 2017 officially starts on Tuesday, June 13th but those pre-E3 press conferences are what get people so excited! Bethesda started a new tradition a couple of years ago by starting their first E3 conference on a Sunday. Well this year Microsoft seems to be taking a page from their book. Xbox's big showing was often on Monday morning and really kicked off the show but Bethesda's conference seemed to give Microsoft some ideas as their E3 2017 conference will start Sunday at 2:00 P.M PDT.
In an image tweeted out to show off the date, Microsoft used an image of the interior to their upcoming console to promote their show. The image first seen during E3 2016 shows what seems to be a mockup for Project Scorpio's powerful guts that would make it "the most powerful console ever" that Microsoft claimed last year. Here's a look at that tweet/picture.
Bethesda took notice of the similarities in a tweet that said:
"Sunday before E3 getting busy. Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery. Bethesda E3 Showcase will still be Sunday pm. Details soon! #BE3"
Microsoft's conference probably won't bump Bethesda's too far, if at all. As last year's Bethesda showing was later in the day at 7:00 PM PDT. E3 will be here before you know it and we'll have all of the biggest news here at Kidzworld!
