To Be a Master
Do you want to be the Pokémon Champion? If you, you must navigate through the cities and towns of Unova, collect 8 badges, find your way through Victory Road and defeat the Elite Four and the current Pokémon Champion. Here’s an introduction to the different gyms in Pokémon Black and White.
Gym Guide
You will find the Trio Badge in Striaton City, being guarded by Cress, Cilan, and Chili. They each specialize in one of water, fire, or grass type Pokémon. Depending on your starting Pokémon, you will fight whichever one you are weak to, making your first gym one of the hardest battles in the game. Once you get the Trio Badge, you need to head over to Nacrene City where you will fight Lenora and her psychic Pokémon for the Basic Badge. Next up is Burgh of Castelia City who will give you the Insect Badge if you defeat his bug Pokémon. After that you head to Nimbasa City, the electric district, where you can battle Elesa for the Bolt Badge. Watch out for her Volt Return Emolga! This is one of my favourite gyms because it’s modeled after a Rollercoaster!
The fifth badge is in Driftveil City where you will have to battle Clay and his ground type Pokémon for the Quake Badge. Then you head over to Mistralton City to fight Skyla for the Jet Badge. After that Brycen and his Ice Pokémon are waiting for you with a Freeze Badge in Icirrus City. Last but not least, Drayden and his trusty dragon Pokémon await you in Opelucid City with a shiny Legend Badge! Once you collect all eight badges, you are now ready to start your journey through Victory Road to meet the Elite Four, capture the legendary Reshiram or Zekrom, battle N and Ghetsis, and face the Pokémon Champion Alder.
