It began with thousands. And the judges sent 152 dancers through to Vegas. After a grueling week of choreography, 38 dancers remained. But only 20 could make it onto the So You Think You Can Dance stage. On October 21, judges Nigel Lithgow, Mary Murphy, Adam Shankman, Debbie Allen, Mia Michaels and Tyse Diorio made their final picks.
Top 20 Dancers
This year’s top 20 dancers made history as a krumper and, not only one, but three tap dancers received a spot in the So You Think You Can Dance stage for the first time. Here is your So You Think You Can Dance season 6 top 20:
Turned Down
It was a happy ending for most contestants as newfound BBFs Mollee Gray and Noelle Marsh made the top 20, along with all three tap dancers, one krumper, and husband and wife Ryan and Asheligh Di Lello. Asheligh would have been cut had it not been for contemporary dancer Paula Van Oppen. Paula landed a part in a movie and unfortunately had to turn down her spot in the top 20. The dancers will take the So You Think You Can Dance stage for the first time on Monday, October 26.
