So You Think You Can Dance is back for another incredible season. Judges Nigel Lithgow, Mary Murphy and Adam Shankman head to Los Angeles to begin the season 6 auditions. It’s contemporary and tap dancers who are putting a smile on the judges faces. It’s only the first episode, and already America is giving some unforgettable auditions.
Year of the Tap Dancers
We all remember the Kasprzak brothers, Evan and Ryan, who auditioned in season 5. While Evan moved onto the top 20, tap dancer Ryan was left behind. But he’s back, along with another of season 5’s tap dancers who was just shy of making the top 20, Bianca Revels. After Ryan performed an artistic, inspirational audition and was sent to Las Vegas, he rejoined his friend Bianca on stage. Together they performed a tapping battle, called Trading, which impressed the judges so much that they sent Bianca straight through the Vegas as well.
For the Love of Dance
Mollee Gray, an 18 year old contemporary dancer from Utah, was a backup dancer in all three High School Musical films. She, her mother and two brothers had recently packed their bags, hopped in the car, and moved to California just so Mollee could pursue her dancing. She claimed that her mother once worked three jobs just to support her dance career. After a beautiful audition, the judges handed her a plane ticket.
The Joy of Dance
When 18 year old Amber Williams was just ten, her mother went in for a surgical procedure that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Since then, she has supported her mother in every aspect of life. Her mother’s greatest joy is to watch her dance.
