The Primetime Emmy Awards announced their nominations for 2001. Some of our faves nabbed a couple nods. Malcolm in the Middle grabbed nine nominations including a Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Jane Kaczmarek (Lois) and Best Actor in a Comedy Series for 15 year-old Frankie Muniz (Malcolm.) One of Survivor's five nominations is for Outstanding Main Title [kwlink] Theme Music[/kwlink]. And Friends has both Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) and Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) fighting for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman will be officially un-coupled on August 8, 2001 when their divorce is finalized. Tom, has reportedly moved his girlfriend Penelope Cruz, into one of his many homes - although Tom lives in a different home than her. Penelope is just "borrowing" one of his empty homes.
Elisabeth Filarski, from Survivor: The Australian Outback is gonna be back on TV - and in style to boot! The cutie patootie who won hearts everywhere has signed a deal to host The Look for Less, a new series for the E! Entertainment cable network. The show is about cost-cutting shopping tips for peeps who wanna keep up with fashion trends without going broke. The series premieres sometime in the fall.
On a sad note - what do AJ Maclean and Ben Affleck have in common? Rehab. It seems the hunky star of Pearl Harbour has recently been admitted to a rehab facility. Ben just finished filming a movie with Morgan Freeman in Montreal, Canada where it was reported he spent a lot of nights out on the town.
