Kappa Mikey - Main Characters

  • Mikey Simon - After winning a lottery, Mikey goes from being an unemployed American actor to a Japanese TV star! He uses his enthusiasm and optimism to adjust to his new life and culture.
  • Gonard - Gonard is Mikey's castmate on the TV show LilyMu. He's a loveable guy who helps Mikey settle into life in Japan.
  • Lily - Lily plays a sweet girl on LilyMu, but in real life she's a feisty diva.
  • Mitsuki - She plays a villain on LilyMu, but Mitsuki is a level-headed friend to Mikey, who really helps him to feel at home on the set.
  • Guano - No one really knows if Guano is an animal or a dude in a costume, but they do know he's the brains behind the LilyMu show - and it's on-screen star.
  • Ozu - Ozu is LilyMu's bad-tempered producer who is prone to outbursts. He has a bit of a soft-spot for Mikey, though.
  • Yes Man - Yes Man agrees with everything Ozu says.

  • The Kappa Mikey theme song, Hey (x2) Look (x2), is by Japanese punk band Beat Crusaders.
  • The show was created by Larry Schwartz, who also created the Thumb Wrestling Federation.
  • Kappa Mikey is a play on the words "Kappa Maki", which is a kind of sushi (a cucumber roll, to be exact).
