Super Monkey Ball Adventure: Gamecube & PS2 Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

Everybody loves monkeys, especially Aiai, Baby, Meemee and Gongon, the heroes of the manic Super Monkey Ball puzzle games! Now they're back in Super Monkey Ball Adventure for the Gamecube and Playstation 2. But, this time, rather than just a load of wacky puzzles, there's an actual adventure with a prince, a princess, monkeys in love and more. We review this goofy game here.

Monkey Business in Super Monkey Ball Adventure

These monkeys are action-heroes in Monkeytropolis! When danger rears its ugly head they climb into plastic bubbles and roll around the island, completing quests and solving puzzles to save the day. The main part of this adventure game is all about restoring joy to the world so the prince and princess can get married. But, there are also a heap of wacky mini-games and action-packed puzzles you can play with up to four friends

Rockin' Out, Monkey Style, on the Gamecube and PS2

The best part about this game is that it's packed with wickedly fun mini-games. From custom-built castle wars to weird 3D puzzle levels and multiplayer action, it's a hoot to sit down with a friend and unleash your inner ape. There are also new chant power-ups that let you give your monkey balls extra powers, like invisibility, wall-climbing and a giant boxing glove for smashing stuff!

Super Monkey Poo Adventures for Gamecube and PS2!

The mini-games are great, the main adventure game isn't. Not only are the controls awkward and frustrating, the levels are a jumbled mess and keeping track of what powers you need to pass each puzzle will drive you loco! The four main monkeys also get irritating when they talk because they repeat the same thing over and over and over and over again. Argh
