The evil supermonkey Specter is back and he's teamed up with a crazy scientist to put his horde of monkey minions on TV! They're making shows that turn anyone who watches 'em into brain-dead couch potatoes so they can take over the world in the new Ape Escape 3 video game for the Playstation 2. Here's our review of this wacky game.
Hundreds of Monkeys in Ape Escape 3
It's up to you to save the day as either Kei or his sis' Yumi by catching all the monkeys before their goofy TV shows turn everyone into drooling spuds! You get all kinds of gadgets to use and the ability to transform into characters with special powers as you go ape catchin'. But, watch out cuz the monkeys fight back - all 400 of 'em! They have weird weapons, super bosses and they can even steal your gear!
Wild 'n Crazy Monkey Action in Ape Escape 3!
The best part of this game is that it's goofy. From monkey princesses to mad scientist monkeys and a villain that flunked out of villain school, it's a funny game! Plus, your transformations and all the gear you can use are fun too.
Flingin' Poo With da Ape Escape 3 Monkeys!
The biggest problem with this game is that the graphics will occasionally freeze or slow down to a crawl. It's frustrating, especially since it happens when there's a bajillion things going on. It's also weird that you can't catch all the monkeys in a level when you play it the first time.
Is Ape Escape 3 Monkey Mania or Muck?
It's a goofy game that's a ton of fun and loaded with crazy stuff. From the gadgets to the hat-wearing monkeys, this game is a hoot with just a few problems that keep it from being awesome.
