Even longer ago in a place even farther away the Trade Federation is up to no good on the planet Naboo. Now you can join in the battle against them and blast some serious droid butt. Star Wars: Starfighter let's you hop into the cockpit of three different starships with three different pilots to fight the evil Trade Federation. Check 'em out:
Star Wars: Starfighter Video Game Basics
You're swapped from pilot to pilot as the story sends you flying through space, cruising along on ground missions and dogfighting with the best the Trade Federation has to offer. It's a good thing your ship's the bomb cuz there are tons of enemies. You'll have more baddies on the screen than ever before and the Playstation 2 graphics still look sweet. Even the ground looks good, just don't get too close...
Star Wars: Starfighter Spectacularly Spacey
Star Wars: Starfighter has John Williams - the Star Wars music master - doing the tunes, plus a handful of decent voices for the characters. The spacefights sound good and the Sound fx are solid.
Star Wars: Starfighter Space Glitches
There are a few problems though. The biggest bummer is the radar. Where'd it go? C'mon George, these high-tech spaceships can probably do your homework for you. Who forgot the radar? That and multiplayer. If you want to hook up with a buddy for a quick match, one of you has to beat nearly half the game to unlock multiplayer.
Star Wars: Starfighter Bottom Line
It's a good game with a few problems that's totally worth checking out if you're a space nut or are cravin' some alien action.
How hard is Star Wars: Starfighter?
It takes about 30 minutes to learn the controls, then you can choose the difficulty.
