Man, Simon is seriously in a bad place right now. He's so hurt that Samantha wasn't interested in him that he's just turning on everyone around him. I tried to cheer him up with a Valentine and he practically tore my head off about how I should stop pitying him! I feel for him, I really do, cuz I know what it's like to be rejected. But that's no excuse to be mean to your friends.
My Valentine's Day turned out to be a lot different than I thought it was going to be. I was planning on this semi-romantic night with Josh cuddled up on the couch watching cheesy movies but instead I ended up hanging out with my mom. Yeah, I know. Weird, right?
Well, before going to school on Valentine's Day I realized that my mom was staying home from work and was still in her pajamas - which is totally strange for her cuz she's all about getting up early and being out of the house by like 7:30AM. I asked her what was up and she said she just wasn't feeling well. So, I went to school and the more I thought about it, the stranger it seemed. Mom wasn't sick at all the night before and other than looking sad, she didn't seem sick then either. Then I realized that she was probably just bummed cuz she didn't have anyone on V-Day!
So, being the thoughtful and caring kid that I am, (okay, I'm usually pretty selfish, but I was being thoughtful that day), I grabbed some flowers, chocolates and a copy of The Notebook on my way home from school, re-scheduled plans with Josh and spent the night chillin' with my mom and sister. It was actually kind of nice. Mom really seemed to appreciate that I'd thought of her and it made me happy to see her having a good night. No one should let Valentine's Day depress them cuz even if you don't have a BF or GF, there are always peeps around that love you. Deep, huh?
How was your Valentine's Day? Did you let it get to you like Simon or did you make the best of it like me and my mom? what you got up to!
