Sindy: Who are your musical inspirations?
Teairra Mari: Jodeci, SWV, Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey, Prince, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle... I could go on forever!
Sindy: Which artists have you collaborated with so far?
Teairra Mari: None, there are no guest appearances on my album.
Sindy: Ok then, who would you like to work with in the future?
Teairra Mari: Pharrell. I love him! That's it, right now, that's who I really, really, really want to work with.
Sindy: What was it like to work with Jay-Z on this album?
Teairra Mari: He's great, he's very hands-on with his artists, he's very involved and he's very opinionated, which is a good thing because I really respect his opinion.
Sindy: How have you been dealing with your skyrocketing success?
Teairra Mari: It's been great. I've just been dealing with it day-by-day, keeping God first, keeping my priorities straight.
Sindy: What do you do in your downtime?
Teairra Mari: I don't know when the last time I had downtime!
Sindy: So what would you like to do if you had some downtime?
Teairra Mari: Rest, go to the movies - I love movies.
Sindy: What's your fave movie?
Teairra Mari: Baby Boy.
Sindy: Are you touring for your album?
Teairra Mari: Yes, later on this year I definitely am.
Sindy: So when you go on tour, what will be the one thing you won't leave home without?
Teairra Mari: My cell phone.
Sindy: Do you have any good luck charms?
Teairra Mari: This ring that Beyonce gave me.
Sindy: Beyonce! Wow, so are you good friends with her?
Teairra Mari: Yeah, we met through Jay-Z.
Sindy: So Teairra, what's up next for you?
Teairra Mari: Hopefully movies, fashion, that kind of thing.
