One of the coolest things about playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is entering tournaments and winning prizes with your dueling skills. But, to be the best you need to know everything about the cards - including which cards are Forbidden or Limited in tournament decks. We have the 411 on what's up with the Chaos Emperor Dragon, the Egyptian God Cards and more!
Why Are Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Limited or Forbidden
Upper Deck and Konami make a ton of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and some of them are so powerful that any cheese-head who manages to get three of them can stick them in a deck and kick butt in almost every duel. To stop this, some cards are Forbidden so nobody can use them and other cards are Limited so you can only have one of each in a deck. This way Yu-Gi-Oh! duels are more about skill than about having all the cards.

More Info on Forbidden and Limited Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards
The list of Forbidden Cards has changed to stop the Chaos/Control deck that won the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2004 Tournament. Almost everybody was using the same deck because the cards were way stronger than any other cards. Now duelists will have to make new deck strategies and different decks will start showing up!
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Egyptian God Cards in Tournament Games?
Unfortunately, the Egyptian God Cards have never been allowed in Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments. But, if you duel with your friends, you can use any cards you want, even the Egyptian God Cards, and completely ignore the Forbidden/Limited Card lists.
