Nintendo is revolutionizing gaming again with their hot new
Nintendo DS, dual-screen, handhend game system. It's loaded with features and is going to be one of the
coolest toys on the planet for
Christmas 2005. And, it just
dropped! Head to a video game store near you and, if you're lucky, you'll be able to find one of these things for
$150 US. Here's the info on the features and a link to a list of the games you can play on it!
Nintendo DS Feature #1 - Voice Recognition
That's right, you can talk to it. There's
voice-recognition software built into the
Nintendo DS so you'll be able to
chat it up with your
fave game.
Nintendo DS Feature #2 - Touch Screen
For when buttons just don't cut it, the
Nintendo DS will have touch-sensitive screens so you can poke 'em with your grubby fingers to play
games.
Nintendo DS Feature #3 - Pure Power!
It has
two processors, can handle
3D graphics on both screens at once, does 16-channels of
sound at once and can just about do your
homework for you.
Nintendo DS Feature #4 - Gameboy Advance Games
There's no need to ditch your old
Gameboy Advance games when you snag this new system cuz your
old games will still work!
Nintendo DS Feature #5 - Wireless Gaming
Who needs wires? The
Nintendo DS doesn't! If you and a buddy are playing
games with one another, the Nintendo DS lets you do it without a clunky game link cable. In fact, the plan is that only one player will need a copy of the game, the rest of the players can download the game from the first player and then all join in.
Nintendo DS Feature #6 - More New Games!
Nintendo is a huge name in
video games so when they announced this new system, over 100 game companies started working on
games for it. What does this mean? It means you'll be able to play with
Spider-Man,
SpongeBob SquarePants,
Yu-Gi-Oh! and more when you snag a Nintendo DS.

Nintendo DS Feature #7 - Wireless Chat With Pictures!
Yup, anyone within 100 feet who has their Nintendo DS turned on with DS PictoChat is going to be able to chat back and forth. It uses the touch-screen and a stylus, just like a PDA, to let you type and draw and send messages to everybody nearby. Lunch time will never be the same...
