#4 - Trade To Build Your Pokemon Deck
Don't trade for random cards, trade to get cards you'll need for your deck or that you can trade with other people who need cards. Getting 45 Torchic cards may be great if you love Torchic, but it won't help you win.

Once you have a bunch of cards, use your strategy to build a deck. Then play with it against your friends and see how it works. If you want new opponents, check comic and hobby stores - the cool ones have tables set up where you can play cards with other people and you'll often find other players and tournaments there. Playing your deck will let you find out what works and what doesn't, use this info to change your deck and make it stronger!
