Keanu Reeves - Kid Stuff
Keanu Charles Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon but grew up mostly in Toronto, Canada. While in Toronto, Keanu Reeves attended a high school for the performing arts. Keanu Reeves also was the goalie on his school's hockey team, where he won an MVP award and was nicknamed The Wall. But the acting bug had really bitten Keanu Reeves and he decided to focus on that rather than hockey.
Keanu Reeves' Big Break
While still in Canada, Keanu Reeves scored a role in a cheesy '80s hockey movie called Youngblood. After that, Keanu Reeves moved to the US and in 1989 landed his big break as Ted Logan in the movie Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. It was a huge success with audiences but because of it, Keanu Reeves was sorta labelled as a brain-dead surfer kid.
Keanu Reeves' Movie Mania
Keanu Reeves moved from brain-dead surfer kid to action hero with a series of flicks that included Point Break, Speed and 1999's blockbuster, The Matrix and The Matrix: Reloaded, in which he plays Neo. The movie was a phenomenal success and a third installment - The Matrix Revolutions - will premiere November '03.
