3 Characters That Would Be Perfect For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC
Our idea on the perfect fighters to join the perfect fighting game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate feels like the gift that keeps on giving, especially with the first of five DLC fighters being added into the roster a few weeks back. With Joker of Persona 5 being added into the game despite the actual Persona 5 remaining totally absent from Nintendo Switch, it suggest that any character could find their way into the fight. So that got us thinking, who would be a perfect fit for the fight in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Cuphead and Mugman
Cuphead started out as an exclusive for Xbox and PC before finally coming to the Nintendo Switch just a few weeks ago. This absolutely awesome game is a fully hand-drawn adventure that boasts a memorable art style that looks like an old 1930's cartoon like classic Mickey Mouse or Looney Tunes episodes.

The titular hero Cuphead and his brother Mugman are cute looking characters that look like they'd fit perfectly in Smash. Nintendo would have to put in a little work to get them looking just right, there's no way you could capture the magic without also bringing along that excellent art style, but they'd be a welcome addition to the roster. Cuphead's creators even talked about their dream of featuring Cuphead in Smash at a recent GDC panel.
Minecraft Steve
Another franchise with a connection to Xbox, Minecraft is a series with enough name recognition that everyone would have an opinion about Minecraft Steve winding up in Smash. Steve is the basic character you'll start out as when you first hop into Minecraft. As a love letter to video gaming, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would have plenty of interesting directions to take Steve and it'd be great to see something a bit more modern and unexpected. Rumors have been flying around the internet about Steve making an appearance since the game was merely a rumor itself, but now that the idea has floated around long enough it's stuck in our heads. And, as Cuphead above has shown, Microsoft is willing to work with Nintendo so this isn't as absurd as you may think at first.
Rayman
Think about it, you can already picture Rayman in Super Smash Bros. While both Minecraft and Cuphead are more modern creations even if they look like they're ancient, Rayman has been around since the days of the Atari Jaguar and is no stranger to Nintendo consoles. In fact, Ubisoft's mascot starred in a game made specifically to take advantage of the Nintendo Wii's capabilities with Rayman Raving Rabbids. And while the surprisingly awesome Mario + Rabbids RPG was a great merging of Nintendo and Ubisoft, it did leave Rayman sitting on the sidelines. Giving him a prescence in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate could right that wrong and give this character the spotlight he deserves!
