Toward the end of 2016 we saw the release of a bigger, stronger, faster PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 Pro has more power than your typical PlayStation 4 and specific games that receive a PlayStation 4 Pro patch will often perform better or look prettier than the standard version.
Which Games Have Pro Support?
If you've been lucky enough to get your hands onto that Pro than you're probably wondering what games will benefit from having the stronger console. Each Pro patch works differently, some will help the game run at a higher framerate, while some will bump up the resolution, and some will just look generally more awesome. PlayStation Pro and Update 4.5
Every now and then you may login to your PlayStation and notice that you need a system update to play online. Sometimes this update isn't anything noticeable but sometimes we get something great out of it. In the past there have been updates that add huge changes, folders, redesigned quick menu, and now Boost Mode.
Boost Mode, or Beast Mode as the fans are calling it, will let games that don't have a PlayStation Pro patch take advantage of the extra power and help games to run better than they did before. Players that are currently in on the beta for their PlayStation 4 are posting videos of their games running faster with Boost Mode. There's no specific date that update 4.5 will hit the public but it can't be far off. So if you've been looking for an excuse to get the most out of that PlayStation 4 Pro than you'll be excited to see this update downloading to your console.
