Ubisoft has let out a lot of different news about Watch Dogs 2, and we'll finally see some gameplay soon. It has been announced by Ubisoft that we'll see the sequel to 2014's Watch Dogs at E3 next week.
This news follows a leak of some marketing material sent early to a member of the press, all of which was embroidered with the title: Watch Dogs 2. It seems like Ubisoft just couldn't hold the secret in any longer and confirmed its E3 presentation this morning. This follows the recent leak of Watch Dogs 2's new potential main character, which means we may not see the return of Aiden Pearce - the hero of the first game. The other exciting piece of information comes from an Ubisoft investor's meeting where it was revealed that Watch Dogs 2 is planned for a release before April of 2017. This means we could be seeing that game sooner rather than later.
What Else To Expect?
Ubisoft anounced other games that will be shown alongside Watch Dogs 2, including Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands and the medieval fighting game For Honor. They also mentioned that they would be showing a few other surprises. My money is on a new Splinter Cell game, though we may see something totally out of the blue or even a little bit of information tying into the new Assassin's Creed movie. I'm also planning on getting some more information about the upcoming South Park: The Fractured But Whole which was revealed at last year's Ubisoft show.
Ubisoft's show kicks off on Monday June 13th, right after Microsoft's show. EA has rescheduled their show to appear on Saturday June 11th, which will be followed by Bethesda's show on Sunday evening. And excitingly enough Nintendo has altered their schedule to include more games than just the new Legend of Zelda game. You can count on Kidzworld to have coverage from all of their different shows including any trailers, gameplay, and new release dates to be announced!
