A new scoop from Nintendo Insider has given us some details on amiibo functionality in the upcoming The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Which releases for the Wii U, March 4, 2016.
Wolf Link, the new amiibo available in a The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD bundle, is said to unlock a new playable dungeon with a title roughly translated to "Cave Of Twilight".
Wolf Link can also apparently be used to transfer data from Twilight Princess HD over to the upcoming and much anticipated Legend Of Zelda Wii U as well. But what sort of data isn't clear just yet.

Existing amiibo will also be supported. Toon Link, Link, Sheik and Zelda amiibos will all replenish hearts or arrows when placed on the GamePad.
A "Hero Mode" is also mentioned, which is said to give enemies twice as much power. Ganandorf's amiibo seems like a good candidate to add that spike in difficulty.
