To celebrate the June 2nd home video release of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, the yellow Bikini Bottom hero is appearing across the U.S. as his alter-ego Invincibubble. His SpongeBob Treat Truck is loaded with goodies and might be headed your way.
Kidzworld caught up with the tour in Albuquerque, New Mexico in front of the Bio-Park Aquarium. World Oceans Day, June 8th, is a U.N-recognized time to go into action to protect our oceans and that includes Bikini Bottom too. Humans throw away too many plastic bags, bottles and other junk that end up polluting our oceans. There are huge, floating islands of the stuff! SpongeBob would like you to pledge not to use any disposable plastic bags for a whole year.
To get you and your family started on the clean ocean campaign his Treat Truck is passing out ocean-friendly, reusable tote bags filled with SpongeBob bottles of bubbles, tattoos, an activity book and more. We were on hand at the Albuquerque Aquarium to get our yummy frozen, Spongebob-shaped pop and bag. We also got a picture with the big and buff Invincibubble.
To check out how you can help our oceans and the creatures who live in them go to www.worldoceansday.org. The Tour started in Miami and will hit Phoenix on May 31st and Los Angeles on June 2nd.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water is available on Blu-ray + DVD June 2nd!
