Nintendo announced Super Smash Bros for the Wii U and 3DS back at E3 2011 but fans can really start to get pumped now. Super Smash Bros for the Wii U and 3DS is nearly upon us. It's coming in 2014 and the roster is getting filled out nicely.
With some returning characters and some new faces to the series, it's one heck of a rowdy bunch. I know a lot of you Super Smash fans out there are eagerly waiting to see if your favorite character makes the cut. If they haven't yet, there is still time!
The latest two characters to be officially confirmed as playable fighters are Little Mac, from the old-school boxing series, Punch-Out! And of course, the acrobatic, banana loving, Diddy Kong, also featured in the fantastic Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
These two new additions bring some wild new gameplay as well. Little Mac is a straight up power house. He doesn't have projectiles, nor does he have any crazy areal maneuvers. He is meant to stand toe-to-toe with his opponents. It will interesting to see how Little Mac balances out against characters with a long range and will surely make for some intense battles. Check out Little Mac's reveal trailer below!
Diddy Kong looks to bring back the same attitude he had in Super Smash Bros Brawl. This time though he appears to have a longer reach than he had previously. It's hard to tell from the screenshots released though. Hopefully we get a Diddy Kong trailer soon that shows off his play style a little more. But expect him to be agile with some deadly mid-range attacks. Diddy Kong also comes packing a Banana projectile.
All these characters are slated to appear in both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.
