This week on The Vampire Diaries, Stefan and Damon try to break the sire bond with Elena. See what you missed on Kidzworld’s recap of “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street“, which aired December 6, 2012.
Bonded
At the end of last week’s episode, Caroline and Stefan realize that Elena is sired to Damon. This must have happened when she drank his blood. To test the theory out, Damon tells Elena to try drinking out of a blood bag again. She tries and she can do it (she rejected the blood before since Damon told her she needed to drink out of a warm vein).
Turns out, Damon had another vampire who was also sired to him in the past. When the brothers were living in New Orleans in the 1940s, Damon turned a vampire named Charlotte was sired to him. He found a witch named Val that was able to break the bond, so Stefan and Damon head back to New Orleans to try to find her. They find Charlotte and enlist her help trying to locate the witch. The witch tells them the bond can’t be broken by magic. A vampire only bonds to someone when the feelings exist before they are turned. The only way to break the bond is to set them free.
Kidnapped
Caroline, Bonnie and Elena have a girls night while the guys are in New Orleans. Caroline accidently tells Elena that she is sired to Damon, and Elena freaks out. Before they can get into it, they have some unexpected guest from Kim and Adrian, Klaus’ hybrids. They kidnap Caroline and begin to torture her. Kim wants to prove that she is the alpha werewolf, rather than Tyler.
Tyler and Elena show up and try to rescue Caroline. Hailey wants Tyler to be head of the pack. Tyler attacks Kim and threatens her to submit or face death. She says she is sorry and kneels, accepting his power.
