The latest Fable game brings magic to your fingertips through the Kinect. Check out the details in our game review!

Fable: The Journey has been pushed back several times as Lionhead Studios attempted to perfect the Kinect game. Thankfully, their efforts were not in vain as Fable: The Journey is a great game for core gamers and the Kinect motion control works very well.

Magic in Your Hands

In Fable: The Journey you play as a Dweller named Gabriel who must accompany the seer Theresa in order to prevent The Corruption from taking over the world of Albion. Thankfully, you have many spells available to you. You can make certain gestures with your hands to enter spell crafting mode and create shields, spears and hammers to help you defeat enemies. With your left hand, you can use the Tether spell to pull apart skeletons or yank your enemies over ledges. And, of course, you will get the fireball and magic shard spells. Using the Kinect motion control, you can shoot a fireball in front of you and then use your hands to guide the ball around corners to hit hiding enemies.

Apprentice Adept

Overall, the game is a great addition to the Fable series. The art and graphics is great and the game is quite fun. Unfortunately, the Kinect motion controls is still not perfect. There will be times when the game will make your character do things you never wanted. However, this is rare as the motion control is accurate almost all the time. The story in the game is fairly shallow and the gameplay is either horse grooming or fighting with magic. But in the end, Fable: The Journey is well worth your time and money.
