The 29-year-old Australian hottie was born in Melbourne, along with his brother’s Liam and Luke. As an English teacher and a social-services councillor respectively, his parents Leonie and Craig were far from the Hollywood scene. Their family moved regularly between Melbourne and Bulman, a small community in the Australian Outback.
Filmography
Chris's acting career began in 2002 when he landed small bit roles in various TV shows. In 2004, he secured his first recurring role as Kim Hyde on the Australian TV series Home and Away. He made his Hollywood debut in the 2009 Star Trek film as George Kirk. After appearing in a few other films, he landed the leading role that really established his career. He starred as Thor in...well, Thor! This secured his spot in the blockbuster film The Avengers, which was released in 2012.
