It’s February and the Super Bowl is upon us, but don’t let the hype get to you. Basketball, hockey and soccer are also heating up this month.
Super Bowl Bound
The Super Bowl is the most watched event in the world. And it will be an interesting game as the New England Patriots and the New York Giants have a Super Bowl rematch from a couple years back. The teams haven’t changed too much and you can expect it to be just as close as the last one. However, the New York Giants have got some serious momentum, and if I were Tom Brady, I would be scared. The Giants have only won nine games during the regular season, and no team has ever won the Super Bowl after only winning nine games. However, the Giants beat the 15-1 Packers 37-20 and they have some serious momentum.
More in the Mix
February is a great month for sports. Not only do you get the Super Bowl, but the NBA and the NHL are halfway through their long 80-game seasons and teams are fighting to get into the playoffs. The Boston Bruins are definitely the team to beat in the NHL, but the NBA seems to have a new superstar in Kevin Durant who is leading a dominant Oklahoma City Thunder.
Soccer Switch
Across the globe, soccer is the main sport on everyone’s minds and the major leagues are halfway through their seasons. Real Madrid is the best team in La Liga, which means they are pretty much the best team in the world as La LIga obviously has the best players in Lionel Messi and Christian Ronaldo. Mancester City is the team to beat in the Premier League.
