Fundraising Festivities
Chance Harbor is having an annual fundraising event, so Cassie starts asking her grandmother some magical history questions and is shocked to find that her Grandmother says she’ll askd Henry Chamberlain for help (who you may remember, turned up dead at the end of last episode.) Meanwhile, Melissa is back in town with her cousin, and sparks are starting to fly between him and Diana.
The Blackwell Line
Diana isn’t the only one whose heart is a-flutter, Cassie can sense that there is something between her and Jake, but he keeps on denying it. When she asks him to accompany her to fundraising event he flat out refuses. Jake has discovered something about Cassie that may ruin the witchunters plans. She has very old, very dark magic within her, from a line of witches they thought was eradicated, the Balcoins. Adam and Faye don’t trust Jake, and team up against him after finding him snooping in the secret circle clubhouse.
Secret Sibling
Isaac is astonished that Cassie is a Balcoin, and tells Jake he has to ask The Council what to do. The final decision is to capture Cassie and take her away from town, but Adam overhears the plan. Jake tells Cassie about her lineage and power, and shows her his book of shadows, and just as Cassie receives a text from Adam warning her that Jake is a witchhunter, Isaac’s thugs show up and kidnap her. At the very last moment Jake turns, decides to help Adam and Faye. Even though the boat that the witchhunters are abducting Cassie in his magic proof, Adam, Faye and Jake manage to set her free and Jake tries to tell Isaac that Cassie can control her dark impulses, but Isaac tells him there is another Blackwell (or rather Balcoin) child in the circle (and so far, everything hints at Faye.)
