Sterling Beaumon has been acting on stage and since he was a baby, and is most well known for his role as Young Ben on the hit TV series Lost and for the Disney movie Mostly Ghostly, but now this 16-year-old is unlocking the mystery of fame with a starring role a new hit series based on a classic board game, Clue! Find out more in his Kidzworld Q&A.
KW: What made you first interested in acting?
- Sterling: I did theatre in San Diego and from then on I knew I wanted to perform onstage.
KW: You’re going to be on a new show based on the board game“Clue”, can you tell us what it’s like?
- Sterling: It's really cool.The show is based loosely on the classic game, but with six teen detectives who find they have stumbled on more mysteries than they could ever imagine.
KW: What character do you play on the show?
- Sterling: Seamus (Mr. Green). He is the rebel, wise-cracking, bad boy who has a way with the ladies
KW: Do you like Clue (the board game) or do you have another fave game?
- Sterling: I do love Clue. I think I was the only one of the six kids who had played it before. I have also always loved Battleship.
KW: Do you feel similar to your character?
- Sterling: I am in some ways, but I don't really skateboard and I was never suspended from school like Seamus.
KW: You played Young Ben on Lost, were you a fan of the show?
- Sterling: Funny. At first, I was not. In fact, I was mad that it was pre-empting another show that I was guesting in at the time. But then I ended up watching the first two episodes after I booked it and was TOTALLY hooked!
KW: What is something most people don’t know about you?
- Sterling: I crack my knuckles and my neck.
KW: You’ve had parts in many TV shows, which was your favorite to work on?
- Sterling: Well, besides Clue, I would have to say LOST because I loved the show so much and the setwas in Hawaii.Though, I have to say like all the shows I get to work on for different reasons.
KW: Who would you ideally like to work with in the future?
- Sterling: Definitely Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp and Jason Siegal
KW: What is some of the best advice you’ve received since becoming an actor?
- Sterling: Feel your character and don't "act".
