Logan Lerman stars as D’Artagnan in The Three Musketeers, which hit theatres on Oct 21, 2011. Kidzworld has the movie review.

Logan Lerman as D’Artagnan

Reckless teenager D’Artagnan leaves his simple home in the French countryside for the big city of Paris. There, he challenges grown men to sword fights with the hopes of joining the three Musketeers. Even though he proves that his sword-handling skills are worthy, there’s one problem: there are no battles to fight, no wars to win, and the Musketeers now spend all their time getting drunk

The Devious Plot

A beautiful double agent and her accomplice have their eyes on the French throne. They set a dangerous plot in motion, involving diamonds and deception, that will ignite a war between France and Buckingham. They foresee that the young and impulsive king will seek the help of his elders, the very same elders who have deceived him.

The Three Musketeers to the Rescue

The Musketeers, along with their new recruit D’Artagnan, learn about the plot from the queen's beautiful lady-in-waiting. They must use their smarts and stealth to invade Buckingham, steal the diamonds back, and return to France unharmed. But they encounter many deadly obstacles along the way.

The Bottom Line

The Three Musketeers had a lot of promise, especially with hottie Logan Lerman (star of The Lightning Thief) as the lead. But the film was so historically inaccurate, with its wide array of accents and Milla Jovovich’s villainous character who busted out some very Matrix-like moves. The inaccuracies were probably an attempt at humor, but it just came off as silly. Fortunately, the swordplay was very exciting, so it wasn't all bad!
