All for one and one for all! Barbie and her friends have a brand-new movie coming out on DVD this fall! On September 15, 2009, you’ll be able to watch Barbie And The Three Musketeers; but for now, Kidzworld’s got a great review (and a video trailer) for all you Barbie fans out there!
The Story
In Barbie And The Three Musketeers, Barbie (the star of the show, of course!) and her friends play the roles of girl musketeers on a mission that’s slightly out-of-the-ordinary. In this fairytale story, there’s no princess that needs to be saved. Rather, Barbie and her musketeer friends are determined to rescue a prince! How’s that for some modern-day positive girl-power messaging?!
Barbie, as we said, stars as Corrine – a beautiful 16-year-old girl who leaves her country home for a faster-paced city life in Paris as she remains determined to fulfill her dream to become a musketeer and help protect the royal family. Once she reaches the palace, she is taken under the wings of three gorgeous young maids named Viveca, Renee and Aramina. The four girls become fast friends as they learn the ropes of being girl musketeers.
While they’re studying and practicing hard, the musketeer girls notice some strange things happening, and they become worried that handsome Prince Louis and his family may be in danger. The girls decide it’s up to them to save the prince and the entire kingdom. As they set out on their mission, each girl has her own special weapon: a necklace, fans, measuring tape and hairpins. As a group, the musketeers discover that the prince’s adviser and his personal army are plotting to get rid of Louis and take control of the throne. It’s up to Corrine and her friends to stop him!
