Cozi always knew that she wanted to be an actress. After appearing in a bunch of school plays, Cozi successfully auditioned for the lead role in a local theater company’s production of Annie. From there, Cozi started taking acting classes and trying out for television commercials. She began appearing in ads for companies like Nestle and Hallmark. Cozi also spent a lot of time acting in plays like The Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Cozi’s Big Break
Cozi eventually began auditioning for movies and television shows. One of those auditions was for a true-life story called Dolphin Tale. Cozi nailed the first audition and was eventually brought in to meet with the director. After that, Cozi was asked to audition one more time. She tried out with three boys who were competing for the starring role, including Nathan Gamble. Cozi’s hard work finally paid off after she was handed the part.
Working with Dolphins
Before shooting on the movie began, Cozi flew to Florida and started preparing for the role. She took swimming lessons and spent a lot of time in a local aquarium. The shoot lasted three months and Cozi spent several hours each day in school.
