Defeat Aizen and his Arrancars in the latest Bleach game for PlayStation 3! Read the full game review for more details right here on Kidzworld!

Most games based off of the Bleach anime series have so far been fighting games. Bleach: Soul Resurreccion takes the series in a different direction with gameplay that is similar to that of the Dynasty Warrior series.

All Warrior, No Dynasty

Similar to Dynasty Warrior, Bleach: Soul Resurreccion will have you running through a large level and defeating waves of enemies and eventually some bosses. Also similar to Dynasty Warrior, you will be using timing combo attacks where you can mix in special attacks with normal combos and even unleash super moves.

Some players may be bored and tired of the Dynasty Warrior series. Luckily, Bleach: Soul Resurreccion does offer something new. As you defeat enemies, you will collect soul points that you can use to upgrade your character and learn new moves. The better your combos, the more soul points you get! The upgrade system is a game on its own, as you have to manipulate a special board instead of sliding numbers around.

Good for your Soul?

Bleach: Soul Resurreccion follows the Arrancars story arc, where Ichigo and his friends must defeat the evil Aizen and his army of Arrancars. There are 14 story chapters as well as extra missions that you can playthrough using unlocked characters. The story is a bit hard to understand if you don't already know it, making this game better suited for fans of the anime.

Overall, the game is great for fans. The enemy have good AI and makes battles challenging and the combos are super rewarding. However, the missions can be a bit boring, as the levels all look the same and the battles get repetitive and there isn't much else to do. Still, if you are a big fan of Bleach, this is a great game to pick up and enjoy with your fellow fans.
