Step into the Soul Society with Ichigo and Rukia in this 120-card expansion for the Bleach card game. We review it!
The Bleach anime is all about fifteen year-old Ichigo Kurosaki and his battle to save human souls from evil Hollows. It's also a card game where you can battle as the characters from the TV show and the new Soul Society expansion takes you into the spirit realm with 120 new cards! Gary checked it out and here's his Bleach Trading Card Game: Soul Society expansion set review.
Spirits and Soul Reapers
Jumping into the Soul Society adds a ton of new Soul Reaper and Spirit cards to the game, including Ganju and the Soul Reaper squads. There are also new abilities to power up when you have two or less cards in your hand, or when you have more cards in your discard than your opponent. Here's what's hot and what's not in this set.Fantastic Fun
If you like Soul Reapers, or all the politics and arguing of the Soul Society, you'll love this set! It brings tons of cards to the Bleach card game that really let you have fun with all the characters from the show. Plus, new healing and searching cards let you keep your fave characters in play longer and combine characters with their special weapons for extra butt-kicking fun!Ick...
Lock up your Hollow cards, there's nothing here to help 'em out. Plus some of the new cards only work if you're nearly out of cards - which is never a good idea! The squads are confusing too because it's hard to figure out which is which unless you get one of the cheat sheet cards to help you ID them all.Worth the Trip?
If you play Soul Reapers, grab a fat sack of these wicked new cards! Hollow players are outta luck (whaaa!) but now you can make Spirit decks while you wait for more evil fun. Overall the Soul Society set is full of good cards and totally worth grabbing a bunch to play with.Thumbs Up:
