You might know him as Sander Loyer from Disney’s Camp Rock movies or Ty Blue from Shake it Up!, but there’s more to Roshon Fegan than meets the eye, find out more about him!
It Runs in the Family
Twenty year old L.A.-native Roshon Bernard Fegan isn’t the first person in his family to crave time on the stage. His father is TV actor Roy Fegan who in his day was on hit shows like The Shield, Married...With Children, and thesitcom Will &Grace. Roshon also had a passion for acting and trained at the BK Acting Studio and the USC 32nd Street Performing Arts School as well as attending Hollywood High School! Roshon eventually went to home-schooling so that he could pursue acting more seriously.
My Spidey Senses Are Tingling...
Even though he always loved acting, Roshon started doing it professionally at the age of twelve, landing a role in Spiderman 2, followed by a part in an episode of Monk. He must have got director’s and audiences sense tingling, because the summer of 2008 Roshon blew up—appearing in the award-winning films Baby and Drillbit Taylor, as well gaining popularity as Sander Loyer in Camp Rock!
Camp Rock and Shake it Up!
Roshon isn’t just a talented actor, he’s also an amazing vocalist, and Camp Rock was the perfect opportunity for him to show off his skills. He performed several songs on the Camp Rock soundtrack, including the unforgettable Hasta La Vista. He also performed extra songs for the DVD, and in 2010 was on the song “Anything is Possible”—an ode to great African Americans. It was played on radio Disney. Also in 2010 he landed the role of the older brother character Ty Blue on Disney’s hit series Shake it Up, followed by another great movie, Camp Rock 2!
The Ro and Co Show
After Roshon discovered how much he loved to perform musically, he started creating and producing his own music and has a YouTube channel with his friend, actor Cody Linley—it’s called The Ro and Co Show! The videos mostly feature the guys freestyle rapping, although Roshon mastered playing the drums, guitar and piano at a young age, and always had a talent for creating lyrics and melodies. He has released some singles on iTunes and is finishing his first self produced album under his own label, "3inaRo Entertainment!." The name"3inaRo" comes from being a triple threat entertainer since he loves acting, dancing, and music.
