This week on Glee (Season 2, Episode 14), Rachel throws a party in support of Alcohol Awareness Week. Also, Blain and Rachel share a kiss that drives Kurt wild. Check out our recap of “Blame it on the Alcohol,” which aired on February 21, 2011.
Party Girl
Principal Figgins announces that it’s Alcohol Awareness Week at McKinley High. Unfortunately, this doesn’t exactly have the effect he is hoping for, and the kids start thinking about drinking. Puck discovers that Rachel has never had a drink before, so he encourages her to throw a party while her dads are out of town.
As is to be expected, Rachel’s party is less than fab. She tells all of the guests that they can only have two drink tickets (so things don’t get out of hand) and that they aren’t allowed to sit on anything. But, after Finn tells Rachel all about party girl stereotypes (of which she fits into the crying, annoying girl category) she gets upset and sets out to prove him wrong. Things take a turn for the worse and they end up in a hilarious game of spin the bottle where Rachel and Blain end up kissing.
Hangover
The next day at school, all of the kids except for Finn and Kurt experience pretty heavy hangovers. Artie tackles his hangover with some Bloody Marys while the rest of the kids turn to singing and dancing (Jamie Foxx’s ‘Blame it on the Alcohol’, of course). Not impressed, Mr. Schu gives them a lesson on the harmful effects of drinking. But, this doesn’t stop him and Coach Beiste from going out for their own night of fun.
More Than a Kiss
After their spin the bottle kiss, Rachel and Blain wonder if there could be something more. When Rachel asks Blain out and he accepts, Kurt gets upset at the idea of Blain being bisexual. Blain tells Kurt that he needs to figure out who he is and what he wants, and that he liked the kiss with Rachel. Of course, this brings on a fight between Rachel and Kurt, who is still very much in love with Blain. To prove Kurt wrong Rachel kisses Blain again, which only confirms that he is indeed gay.
