The wait is finally ogre! Shrek: The Whole Story is the boxed set you’ve been waiting for! The four Shrek movies arrive on DVD/Blu-Ray on December 7: Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After, plus Donkey’s Christmas Shrektacular!
Shrek
In the original film, Shrek’s a single ogre living a bachelor’s life – until he finds himself on some sort of quest to save a princess. With a smack-talking Donkey by his side and a princess whose beauty is more than skin deep, Shrek’s peaceful life will never be the same!
Shrek 2
After rescuing Princess Fiona and getting hitched, it’s time for Shrek to meet the parents. So off they go (with Donkey along for the ride, of course) to Fiona’s home in Far, Far Away, where Prince Charming is still PO’d that HE didn’t get to rescue the princess – and determined, with the help of his mom, the Fairy Godmother, to do whatever he can to change that.
Shrek the Third
Shrek has to fill in as king when Fiona’s dad falls ill. Since it’s the last thing the ogre wants to do, he sets out to find the true heir to the throne – an awkward high school kid whose low self-esteem threatens to keep him from accomplishing his royal duties forever … oh, and Fiona announces that she’s pregnant!
Shrek Forever After
Shrek’s a dad (to adorable green triplets!) who misses his old, single days of ogre bachelorhood. So when Rumpelstiltskin offers him the chance to spend a day in his old life, he takes it. But at what cost? When Shrek finds he could lose his family forever, it’s up to him to convince Donkey (who doesn’t recognize his friend in the alternate reality) to help him get back to “normal.”
