Kidzworld: How did you break into the music industry? And what challenges did you face along the way?
Fefe: I was a very persistent teenager and never took no for an answer. I worked with anyone and everyone to have my voice heard. I face challenges every day. When I first started it was the challenge of being a black female doing rock and now I find more than ever, it's about staying true to my artistry, and not following the pack.
Kidzworld: Who has been the most influential or helpful person as you established your career?
Fefe: My best friend. She keeps me grounded and steers me forward.
Kidzworld: Which of your songs is your favorite and why?
Fefe: There is a ballad called "Can't Breathe" that is really very personal to me & Orianthi lends a wicked guitar solo. The song is basically about a past relationship where I was like , be proud of me - stand tall with me- don't mess up a good thing, because I can't breathe without you. We could have everything if you just give up the act.
Kidzworld: People tend to put celebrities on a pedestal. But deep down celebrities are regular people. Can you tell us some tidbits about your personal life that your fans may not know?
Fefe: I love my puppy Pepper. I sing to her and talk to her sometimes like she is a human!
Kidzworld: What is your most embarrassing moment?
Fefe: Just the other day I was out and thought I saw an old friend, so I was like, "Hey!..Hey! Justin!" I was very sure it was him...but then the guy looked at me like I was crazy and shrugged his shoulders. Oops!..." Sorry, I thought you were my friend". I won't lie, I was kind of embarrassed.
Kidzworld: Do you have any crazy fan stories?
Fefe: Well, once when I was on tour in Europe, I decided to go online to my official fefedobson.com blog page and start chatting. The person I was chatting with didn't believe they were really striking a conversation with me, so I told them to give me their number, and I personally gave them a call. They were so surprised! It made my week! :)
Kidzworld: What is your favorite part about being in the music industry? Least favorite?
Fefe: Favorite part being able to make music and then share it with the world. Least favorite, those who make music for materialistic gain.
Kidzworld: If you weren’t singing, what other career would you pursue?
Fefe: I can't imagine doing anything else.
