This week in sports is back again with the Fab 5 Favorite sports. In baseball there are two tight races to the World Series. Can the Yanks and Phillies come back from 3-1 series deficits? Also, Lebron and the Miami Heat have lost 3 pre-season games in a row… what’s up with that? Let’s check into the details…
Hockey Headline
After a really slow start, Sydney Crosby is looking more and more like a consistent dominator of the game of hockey. Sydney is now tied for 1st place in the NHL for points with Marian Hossa. But more importantly, Syd has really rallied the Pittsburgh Penguins from a 1-3 record to 5-3 with 4 wins in a row.
Baseball Bonus
The New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies were both down 3-1 in their playoff series, but now they have both won their last games bringing both series to 3-2. Both the Yankees and the Phillies have won the World Series in the past few years, so maybe they should just lay down their arms and let a couple of two new teams go for Gold. Giants and Rangers World Series… that would be nice!
NFL News
The NFL is amazing this year. There are so many potential races for a playoff spot. There are 20 teams with a .500 +++ record so nobody is out and nobody is safe. The NY Jets are the hottest team in the League winning their last 5 games, but even the Jets don’t really feel like Super Bowl contenders. But with the Jets at 5-1 and the San Diego Chargers at 2-4, it’s clear that LaDainian Tomlinson was a huge loss to SD and huge gain to NY.
NBA Notes
OMG, the Miami Heat are losing games??? Can you believe with Lebron James scoring massive amounts of points, the Heat have lost 3 games in a row. What’s going on? I’m sure once the regular season starts, Miami will start trying???
The Soccer Show
Wayne Rooney has signed a 5-year contract for Manchester United. This is very big news as Wayne is considered to be one of the top 3 soccer players in the World and Manchester United is probably the most popular team in the World. Isn’t it nice when the most popular things in the World unite?
