Road Trip
This week on The Vampire Diaries, Damon, Stefan and Elena enlist Rick’s help to discover the Lockwood family’s secret (are they or are they not werewolves?). They take a road trip (minus Stefan) to Duke University, where Rick’s ex-wife Isabella kept all of her research. They discover the origin, and dangers, of werewolves.
The Sunshine Kid
Newly-turned vampire Caroline tries to deal with living life outside of the sun. Stefan feels bad for her, and convinces Bonnie to cast a spell on a ring – similar to the one that he and Damon have – that will allow Caroline to go outdoors during the day.
They head to a party in the woods, where Stefan and Caroline come into some trouble with Tyler’s older cousin. Tyler steps in to save the day and learns the truth about his own family.
Broken Hearts
After Caroline accidentally hurts Matt, she worries about her ability to keep dating a human. She ends the relationship, although everyone can tell she still cares. Meanwhile, Elena breaks Damon’s heart by telling him that they will never be friends again. Do we believe this? No, not really.
Next week, Elena finally comes face to face with her doppelganger Katherine. This should be one to watch.
