Leo Howard starred in the magical movie Shorts and kicked butt as Young Snake Eyes in GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Kidzworld sat down with Leo to talk about what’s next for the young star.
G.I Joe
Leo makes his blockbuster movie debut playing Young Snake Eyes in GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. His scenes “set up the history between the two characters Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow” and if you’re already a fan of the series, Leo doubts you’ll be disappointed: “I think everyone was waiting for this movie and hoping it would be action packed—they sure got their wishes! What else can I say? It’s GI Joe!”
Leo was a big part of that action, but doing all his own stunts was a cinch with his extensive martial arts background. In between acting he focuses on performing with Sideswipe, “an extreme martial arts performance team that goes around the world performing for people,” Leo explains. “Everyone on the team is just like family to me.”
Shorts Big Shots
During the filming of Shorts, Leo shared the camera with some big names like Kat Dennings—“she was a blast to work with” and “has an awesome sense of humor”—and William H. Macy. “I always look up to an actor with as much experience as he has,” Leo says. “[William H. Macy] is a great guy and I tried to learn as much as I could from watching him.”
Talk Show Host
In addition to acting, Leo also hosts Leo Little’s Big Show, where he and his fictional sister film a show from their living room interviewing the stars of upcoming Disney BluRay releases. What’s Leo’s favorite interview so far? “I did like interviewing the dog from Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Chloe.”
