Grab, throw and destroy in this explosive puzzle game from EA and Steven Spielberg! Wii review it here.
Cowboy monkeys, frantic hand-waving and a whole lot of exploding - that's BOOM BLOX for you! EA teamed up with Steven Spielberg, the world-famous director behind movies like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, to build this crazy game. It's wacky, it's weird, it's colorful and it's packed with explosions. But, is it any fun? Here's the deal with Gary's BOOM BLOX game review.
How to Go Kerblooie!
In BOOM BLOX, you use your Wiimote like a giant invisible hand to grab and throw blocks around. It's easy to jump in and play and loaded with goofy characters and fun music. There's a single-player mode with a basic story and bunches of levels that challenge your puzzle-solving skills. You can also invite your friends and work together or compete in four-player multiplayer games. And, you can even build your own levels for your friends to play!Smash, Pow, BANG!
Not only does it have a groovy little soundtrack, cool blox characters and a ton of multiplayer modes, the game is pure awesome. Anybody can pick up a Wiimote and start pitching blocks around in seconds. And, once the blocks start flying, the explosions get going and the game turns into a giant pile of fun - it's like playing with firecrackers but without blowing your fingers off!Kaboom, Kee-runch, Thud!
BOOM BLOX can get a bit chaotic and mastering the controls takes a steady hand. But, the only real bummer about this game is that you can't play online!Big Boom Bonanza!
It's a blast, literally. With the simple controls, crazy fun, multiplayer modes and the hilarious characters that run around like a pack of freaked-out monkeys, this game is fantastic. Anybody can play, everybody will enjoy it and there are tons of options to keep your blox booming for ages!Thumbs Up:
