The Gameboy Advance is cool but compared to a Gamecube that you can play anywhere, it's nothin' but drool. The brainiacs at InterAct Accessories came up with the wicked idea of making the Gamecube portable.
The Mobile Monitor 5.4 is a 5.4 inch, hi-resolution screen that straps onto the top of the Gamecube. It's decked out with speakers, headset plugs and knobs for volume and color - just like a mini TV. Plug this puppy into the wall, or in a car and you're ready to game anywhere. It's even designed to handle other gear so you can plug in your VCR, DVD or another console. It's due out when the Gamecube launches November 18, 2001 and it'll run about $150 US ($225 CDN.)
You're gonna need power to run these things and that's where the custom battery comes in. It's a heavy-duty, rechargeable battery unit that hooks up to the back of the Cube. A full charge will last for about two and a half hours of gaming action. The battery is still under construction. You can expect it in time for Christmas 2001, for about $50 US ($75 CDN.)
Hook a fully geared up Gamecube to a K2 Genesis Pack and you'll be able to play your Cube while you're hitting the slopes and catchin' some tunes. Just watch out for the trees.
