Big Bill is doing a dance of joy right now. The Xbox Conference came just as his biggest competition, Nintendo, slipped up. This gives the lean, mean, black machine a head start on the competition and a big boost from all the hot new game details released at the Xbox Conference.
First up is Jet Set Radio Future (JSRF) from Sega. Sound familiar? It's the sequel to Jet Grind Radio - the wicked game of rocket skates, graffiti and serious tunes. It's not gonna be ready in time for the launch but - oh baby - does it look sweet!
Kung-Fu fighting their way to an Xbox near you are the martial art maniac guys & girls from Dead or Alive 3 (DOA3.) This game is already looking hotter than anything you'll find on the PS2 or Dreamcast. The DOA3 fighters will be ready to mix it up on the same day the Xbox hits stores.
It's not all fun and giggles though. The Xbox has a few problems. The first is the controller. It's so massive you could use it as a stool to get to a high shelf. If you have small hands you may be in trouble. Make sure to try one out before you buy it.
The other problem is the DVD. It's not gonna work. Not unless you dish out extra cash for the program and the remote. That kinda blows chunks but it keeps the price down to start. Rumors are that the DVD stuff is gonna cost about $50 US.
Right out of the gate, the Xbox is promising 15 - 20 games that you'll be able to play. That's a ton more fun than the Gamecube is gonna have. The Xbox is ready to make a big splash on November 8, 2001 - are you ready for it?
