Mariah Carey :: E=MC2
If there’s one thing Mariah Carey knows how to do, it’s sell records and pump out hits. On E=MC2, she continues to roll with the new image she showed off on critically acclaimed The Emancipation of Mimi. This album has a little bit of everything, from R&B tracks like Migrate (feat. T-Pain), and Side Effects (feat. Young Jeezy), to the Reggae tune Cruise Control (feat. Damien Marley) and even some ’70s soul on I’m That Chick. Of course, there’s also more than enough of Mariah’s signature vocal acrobatics on ballads like I Stay in Love, and I Wish You Well. On E=MC2 Mariah teams up her classic voice with a stellar line-up of guest producers and performers, and proves she’s still got the hit-making formula down pat.Fun Facts

Hilary McRae :: Through These Walls
On Through These Walls, her debut album (available at Starbucks), Hilary McRae’s voice impresses as way more textured and soulful than her age (only 21) implies. Together with her long-time musical collaborator, producer / guitarist Zack Ziskin, Hilary has put together a stylish album with an impressive mix of Jazzy Pop / R&B tunes that seem like a blend of Joss Stone and Natasha Bedingfield. Her first single, Everyday, featuring superb horn riffs, is a yearning love song with a perfect Pop melody, and really sets her apart from other female artist’s her age. Through These Walls is an entertaining, cohesive album from a new artist with a style all her own, and definitely worth a listen.Fun Facts
