What's golden girl Jessica Simpson been up to lately, aside from cozying up with her sexy boyfriend Nick Lachey? Plenty. She's got a new album coming out on May 5, 2001. So far there's no word on the title, but Jessica promises lots more attitude and funky grooves this time 'round. She says, "The record is way to the next level and it shows off a part of me that I've wanted people to see for the longest time." Jessica celebrates her 21st birthday on July 10. She's also started checking out movie scripts so it may not be too long until we see her on the big screen.
Bad-boy A.J. Mclean of the Backstreet Boys has been super busy. With the release of Black & Blue, making videos and a supporting tour he also managed to squeeze time in for a solo project. His alter ego singing persona goes by the name of Johnny No Name and he toured solo last March. He likes being a team player with his BSB boys, but he also enjoys the freedom of a solo project. Sisqo will be forever linked to underwear with his hit, the Thong Song. Lately he's been busy at work on his new CD called Return of the Dragon which will be released in June of 2001. "I want to keep coming with songs of substance and mass appeal," says the young hip hopper. He also starred in the movie Get Over It with Kirsten Dunst and Mila Kunis.
