1Hey Coach,
It's been two days since we started P.E. and I have been really sore since the first day of running and push-ups. My abs, arms and legs are all sore. Do you have any tips on healing and preventing this?
Nycla

Hey Nycla,
It's natural for your muscles to be sore if you've just started exercising - so don't sweat it. The muscles in your arms, abs and legs are sore because they're not used to getting a lot of activity. You can make exercising less painful by stretching about five minutes after you've started exercising and stretching afterwards. Talk to your coach or P.E. teacher if you're unsure of how you should be stretching. They should be able to help you out. The best way to improve your fitness level, or any athletic skill, is to stress your body one day and then allow enough time for your body to recover before you exercise again. If you exercise again too much, too soon (when your muscles are still sore,) you're likely to hurt yourself even more. So, exercise lightly until your arms and legs feel better, then work your muscles a bit harder.
