The 2002 World Cup means this summer will be a great season for playing and watching soccer. To help you do both, Umbro is rolling out new World Cup jerseys for your favorite teams.
Umbro has designed and made new reversible duds for England's national soccer team at the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan. The reversible jersey is red and navy with the St. George cross on the front. The red will be worn by Michael Owen, David Beckham and the rest of England during games. The navy was designed for England fans and won't be worn for competition. Umbro also designed the World Cup soccer jerseys for Ireland which are green for home and white for away.
In youth sizes, Umbro has made up replica jerseys for many of your favorite national teams including Brazil, England and Italy. They're the perfect jerseys to wear while you're watching your favorite team play - or when you're playing for your local team and are imagining yourself scoring the winning goal at the World Cup.
Umbro doesn't just make jerseys. They also make every other kind of soccer gear you need, including cleats, balls and shinguards. This season, Umbro came out with two new sets of shinguards for kids, the Umbro Lynx Shinguards and the Umbro Spike Shinguards. The Spike's are a bit more solid and offer more protection around the ankle - especially important if you're a forward who takes a lot of hard tackles.
