Flower Whiskers: The leader of the Whiskers family and mother to more than 30 pups. Flower is usually a tough love sort of lady, but she's capable of really pouring on the affection when it's needed.
Zaphod Whiskers: Flower's partner and the dominant male in the Whiskers family.
Tosca Whiskers: Flower's rebellious daughter who was once cut out of the family for having illegitimate babies. She was allowed back in to the family at one point, but was then kicked out again for getting a little too friendly with a rival family, the Splinters. She has since mysteriously disappeared.
Rocket Dog Whiskers: The daughter of Flower who becomes the leader of the Whiskers family when her mother mysteriously disappears. Upon mom's return, she becomes a frustrated underling again. She schemes and waits for her next opportunity to assume power.
Big Si Lazuli: The head of the Lazuli family who dies of tuberculosis.
Cazanna Lazuli: Big Si's partner and the dominant female of the family. She is inconsolable after Big Si's death, and unable to have babies with the new dominant male because he's her son.
J.D. Lazuli: Big Si's son who fights his way to head of the family after his father dies.
Hannibal Commando: The vicious head of the Commando crime family. He has one eye, a surely temperament, and a frightening reputation.
