This vision leads Anand on an adventure through India (and through time!) where he encounters sorcerers, royalty and plenty of magic in his quest to help his friend.Lost in Time
Anand uses his magical conch to create a portal that will take him to his mentor and he and his sassy sidekick Nisha hop in. But Anand and Nisha are separated along the way and the conch becomes lost in an ancient kingdom. Now Anand must save his friends and the conch before returning to his own time. And if he finds he has a little time on his hands, he may try preventing the downfall of an ancient royal family.
The Bottom Line
The Mirror of Fire and Dreaming is an enchanting tale of adventure and magic. The oddball characters, poetic language and beautiful setting all combine to make a book that any young fantasy lover is bound to enjoy. However, you'll definitely want to read Anand's first adventure, The Conch Bearer, before checking out this book.
